An amazing journey with an unlikely product…
In the early 1990’s Kevin and a friend designed and manufactured the first Australian made guitar pick. It was intended to be a part time hobby but it turned into a business that employed 23 people working 24/7 at its peak! They supplied some of the world’s greatest bands and biggest stores and have made over 50 million guitar picks to date.
Kevin will explain this journey and how they became a leader in their industry. He shall divulge how they created so many world firsts only to be copied by major competitors. He also discusses how his company overcame the tyranny of distance from Australia, the GFC, the rise of online shopping and the many other challenges endured.
Kevin has now decided to settle in the area and will talk about this transition and his new company Buyologists that focuses on saving money for others in business.
